She is a Registered Psychotherapist, Member of the College of Psychotherapist of Ontario CRPO and the Association of Mental Health Professionals OAMHP. Sandra holds a Degree in Psychology from Colombia, place where she was born. Through her career has been involved in several non-profit organizations as a volunteer; supporting newcomers, elderly population and abuse women among others communities. She is the owner of “Sandra Riano Counselling and Life Coach Services Inc.”
In 2013 she stablished the first group of professional women that, months after was called Hispanic Women’s Network of Canada -HWN. Sandra has participated in numerous events as a Guest Speaker and Workshop facilitator presenting topics of Mental Health, Professional Development, Parenting, Women development etc. She was recognized as “One of the Empowerment Women of 2017” by The Canadian Hispanic Congress.
Martha is a reporter, researcher, writer, producer and host fair with accurate stories for Television and Radio running with great exit in Canada. She develops and maintain contacts with community, political leaders and activists, key figures, Publicists, Martha is also the Owner/Director of MP Communications, company oriented to impulse journalistic programs, research, marketing social media development, and personal image. She is recognized in the community for her large experience and knowledge in Media and has been the official host of the bigger and popular “Latin Mississauga Festival“, that congregated more than forty thousand people per year.
She is a partner in a prestigious Law firm in the city of Toronto. She obtained her law degree from the University of Western Ontario and has practiced law for twenty years; focuses her practice in the areas of Family Law and Estates Litigation in the Greater Toronto Area, the City of Newmarket and the Peel, Halton, and Niagara regions negotiating agreements or representing clients before the Ontario courts. Claudia is a member of the Law Society of Ontario and the Canadian Hispanic Bar Association. An active member in the community as a volunteer in non-profit organizations and she has been invited as a guest speaker in numerous seminars and conferences.
She is a dedicated Advisor, proudly born in Colombia. She holds a Degree in Hotel and Tourism Management and Business Administrator designation. She was the 1st women to lead a Hispanic team in a very large group of Dealership in Ontario. She was nominated as entrepreneur of the year by the “Hispanic Chamber of Commerce” in 2012. Carmenza is recognized in the Community for her large experience and commitment with her clients, caring from the small to the big details to guide them with the best information and service.
She was born in Colombia and raised in Venezuela. She obtained her Medical Degree at the Central University of Venezuela, and later went on to her post grade degree of Ophthalmology She immigrated to Canada with her husband and two daughters in 2008 and then she enrolled in the international Optometric Bridging Program (IOBP) where she achieved her license to practice optometry in Canada.
Monica and her husband Optometrist as well, opened IGO Optical ten years ago, since then they have expanded their business around the GTA, Ontario.
She is a very passionate professional not only about the well-being of her patients’ eyes, but also ensuring that they experience a well-rounded and informative exam.
Marcela Aranda, originally from La Paz, Bolivia, is a well-known Master of Ceremonies in Toronto’s Latin American community. She uses her experience as a radio host to engage audiences in English and Spanish at various events. With deep ties to Latin American culture in Toronto since 1989, she’s been part of dance groups representing Ecuador, Bolivia, and Chile, giving her a profound understanding of their traditions. Marcela is also actively involved in community leadership, serving on boards and contributing to prominent Latin American festivals in Toronto. She’s a central and influential figure in the Toronto Latin American community.
She was born in Mexico. Karla is a Mortgage Agent at Lending Logic. She studied Finances, and became a Financial Advisor. Karla got 3rd place in Nationally Mortgages at retail level in her previous job. After a year in her current role, she was awarded with the title of Top Producer. She joins non-profit organizations as a volunteer to mentor New Latin Immigrants who just arrived to Toronto.
Zulia Castellanos has been working in sales in the car industry for over 12 years. Her authenticity and willingness to assist her customers have earned her the title of the ‘queen of pick-ups.’ She embraces this title as her flag because she genuinely understands the community and its needs, especially those of construction workers.
Being part of the community and aiding in its growth is one of her greatest blessings and accomplishments in her life. She’s a proud Colombian and even prouder to showcase to Canadians how powerful Spanish we are and whom we can become together.
Eldy Ampuero is an insurance professional with over 20 years of experience, specializing in new business development, in-house sales, and VIP customer service. She has held key roles at companies like Gold Standard Insurance and Paisley Partners Inc. In addition to her career, she is an active community advocate and the founder of the Canadian Bolivian Chamber of Commerce. She also plays significant roles in promoting Hispanic-Latin American culture in Canada through the Canadian Hispanic-Latin American Virtual Museum and served as the President of the Canadian Hispanic Congress for over five years.
Paola Cetares is a Colombian immigrant with a diverse academic background, including an MFA in Film from the University of Miami, an MBA from the University of Phoenix, and studies in Public Relations and Communication. She’s passionate about bridging the gap between storytelling and business, seeing creativity as a driver of innovation.
Currently, as the Public Relations Manager at the Ontario Society of Professional Engineers (OSPE), Paola focuses on key engineering issues like energy, infrastructure, environment, research, innovation, and the job market. Her extensive experience and dedication aim to advance the engineering profession and have a positive impact on the community.
Luz Madronero is an accomplished Colombian journalist known for her outstanding work in economic journalism, earning prestigious awards in Colombia. She has served as a press secretary for organizations like the National Planning Department and the Institute of Urban Development in Bogota. Luz co-founded the nonprofit “Canada Habla Español,” worked on the Latin American Bilateral Trade Initiative, and is actively involved in community organizations like the Hispanic Women Network and the Panamerican Food Festival. In her spare time, she assists immigrants in settling in Toronto, demonstrating her commitment to making a positive impact on people’s lives.
