The path to your success is directly related to your mindset.  If you shift your mindset towards your passion, setting your boundaries, and how to get the support you need, your journey as an entrepreneur will be very rewarding and successful. Before starting my career as a REALTOR®, I was diagnosed with severe depression and had just given birth to twin daughters.  At this point, I had three children, had quit my career in law, and was a stay-at-home mom looking after the everyday needs of my growing family. As everyone around me went on with their lives, I felt stuck, alone, and with a burning sensation of wanting to do more for my family and myself.  On a whim, I decided to go back to school and commence a career in Real Estate. I made a decision that I had to change my thinking, perception of my life, and my life itself.  I saw my newborn daughters as a gift, an opportunity to better myself as a mother, person, and entrepreneur.  I was finally going for my lifelong dream of becoming a REALTOR®. One of the greatest works of the 20th century written by Napoleon Hill in 1937, Think and Grow Rich, explains to us the correlation between our state of mind and our success in business.  Through the teachings of Napoleon Hill and other like-minded individuals, I learned to rely on my instincts by removing negative thoughts from my daily life to achieve the ultimate goal of balancing a family and a successful Real Estate career. These achievements didn’t come naturally to me.  I would listen to podcasts while doing my chores, meditate when possible, and tell myself that I had control of my life.  My thoughts make my reality.  I changed my thoughts and my life changed. With the support of my husband and my family, I was able to focus on my life as a mother and my business.  The burning desire for success never left me and accompanied me then, as it continues to follow me now, eight years later.  I learned that meditation and a tight schedule were key to my success. Today I have a balanced family life and a thriving business having reached the top 1% of Real Estate agents in the Toronto Real Estate Board. Success is always within reach and it begins with your state of mind.  You are the master of your thoughts.  Our only limitations are the ones that we set up in our own thoughts.  Adjust your mindset and you will be well on your way to success.
